Candlewood Isle · New Fairfield, CT 2024 Gut Renovation + Second-Floor Addition 3,150 sq ft 3 Bed 3 Bath
The Project

A full gut renovation in Candlewood Isle that grew the house upward. Bulldog took the home down to the studs and added a second floor — three new bedrooms and two baths of upstairs living — for a complete 3,150-square-foot rebuild inside the original footprint.

Exterior

The addition's payoff is up top: a second-floor walkout deck with western exposure, framing sunset views toward New Fairfield across the lake.

Interior

Every surface is new. The gut took the original level back to framing and finished it alongside the new second story, top to bottom.

★★★★★

We used Bulldog Enterprises for the gut renovation of our Candlewood Isle home, including the addition of a second floor. This was our first major renovation project and Connor R. was patient and professional throughout the whole process. He was honest and upfront about costs and the project finished on time! He's also easy to get along with and it was fun to share ideas and create an amazing house that we love. We happily recommend him to anyone considering a renovation or new construction.
